「絹しけ」とは、表装生地やふすま紙に用いる絹織物で作成された生地の総称。「絹物のふすま紙といえば、絹しけ」といわれるほど歴史のある紙です。経糸（たていと）には節のない生糸を、緯糸（よこいと）には節のある玉糸を用いることで、絹の持つ光沢を生かし、独特のムラを表現するふすま紙です。絹には美しさだけではなく、通気性、調湿効果や脱臭など、さまざまな室内環境を整える効果もあります。 Kinushike "Kinushike" refers to a type of silk textile used for fusuma paper, known for its history as the go-to for silk fusuma paper.
