This project marks the debut of the MASONPRINCE in Shanghai, located on Huaihai Road, a prominent fashion destination. Continuing the iconic "burning flame"-themed installations from MASONPRINCE's inaugural store in Guangzhou, the show window design evokes the sensation of a building ablaze and symbolizing the brand's "hot" presence in Shanghai. The attention-grabbing facade entices passersby while exuding a sense of history and classicism, maintaining Shanghai's local culture and reflecting MP store's "Beyond the Present" concept. The three-story store space is conceived as an experiential field where contrasting elements seamlessly blend. Besides providing upgraded spatial experience, the project incorporates AR and Metaverse interactive game installations, offering consumers an immersive journey. Design team incorporates the concept of "beyond the present" into the store, where time and space are blurred. In the illusionary time and space dimensions, everything seems possible. Upon entering the store, customers feel like stepping into a free and dream universe unique to MP. The designers employed various interactive installations to transcend mere consumption scenes, emphasizing an entertainment experience beyond shopping. Various futuristic, tech-infused interactive installations are introduced into the space. For instance, a 3D human figure model representing an MP founder is created and integrated into a newly developed Metaverse interactive game, inviting customers to envision future technological experiences spanning the next few decades, including the potential for human-machine integration. Design team imagines the three floors of the space with different thematic scenes. The first floor, conceived as "Central Park," greets customers with a creative "Wishing Fountain" art installation. It features garden benches and creative toilet-shaped chairs, exuding a retro-futuristic vibe. The second floor is envisioned as a "Swimming Pool," where a massive whirlpool installation takes center stage. Shower heads are transformed into "shower lights," and bathroom mirrors become fitting mirrors, seamlessly blending whimsical elements with functional aspects of the space. The whirlpool at the bottom of the "swimming pool" echos the "wishing fountain" downstairs, creating a sense of spatial distortion. The third floor is set up as a relaxing and free-form "office," combining a rest area and a game zone within a "backroom" style. It features a large gaming screen and bionic installation, enhancing interaction and creativity within the space. The "ping pong table" in the "garden" is an intriguing visual element, while also serving the function for products display. Its human-scale design allows customers to easily access exquisite accessories and apparel."Shower lights" and "bathroom mirrors" next to the "swimming pool" echo the spatial theme while serving practical purposes. While preserving the original historical elements of the existing building, TOMO incorporated modern "burning flame" art installations. Some old stone bricks underwent surface optimization and treatment, creating a space that feels both historical and trendy.
