The project is located in LUXELAKES Eco-City, south of Chengdu, China, nestled on a peninsula within the core lake area. Surrounded by meandering shorelines, the site boasts exceptional lakefront resources. The project leverages its natural advantages to maximize lake views while ensuring residential privacy, creating an ideal ecosystem where nature and architecture harmoniously blend. The design team not only had to consider user engagement, interactivity, and sustainability but also faced the challenge of integrating functionality with ecological considerations. Inspired by the concept of "Outside The Frame," the project incorporates integrated pathways and entryways that seamlessly connect architecture and its surrounding landscape. This approach breaks traditional spatial boundaries, merging the entry spaces with the environment. The architecture becomes an extension of the landscape, while the landscape enhances and complements the architecture. Interwoven light, shadow, and vegetation create a serene and poetic ambiance. "Beyond Boundaries" is a fluid, formless spiritual realm that enhances spatial beauty and coherence, elevating the user’s sense of belonging and experience.
