“We deconstruct the everyday, and reconstruct the extraordinary within space.” Design always begins with the capture of thought, gradually taking shape through practice—an evolving process from the intangible to the tangible, and from form to material presence. Studio Whispace + Architects was founded in 2020 by architect Wen-Chian Hu and design director Pei-Hsuan Chin. Inspired by the ethos of “studio whispace,” we capture fleeting brilliance through gentle musings; as “whispace architects,” we embody the essence of time, allowing thoughts to converge into form. With a perception-driven approach that integrates architecture, interior, and curatorial practices, we explore the infinite potential of space—dismantling existing frameworks and reimagining design through the lens of everyday life and lived aspirations. Our work spans from educational spaces and public realms to the revitalization of historic architecture, consistently responding to local context and cultural textures. Recognized by various design awards, our practice also engages in spatial education and curatorial experiments—positioning design as a medium for perception, dialogue, and the ongoing inquiry into its nature and boundaries.
